One of these things is not like the other

So my baby Isla turned 3 yesterday.  She was requesting the "beach" for her birthday...along with her friends Kate and Rhett.  While we couldn't produce the friends :(, we were able to produce a "beach".  

Just 10 minutes south of our condo is an "island" called Sentosa.  Singapore has tried to turn this island into the Disney World of Singapore....but instead of Disney you have Universal Studios, several hotels, and the requisite beach activities such as zip lining, trapeze swinging, alpine sliding, etc.  It really has a Myrtle Beach type of feel, but with a much less desirable "beach".  Right off the coastline are several hundred oil tankers/refineries...so the water is less than pristine.  In fact, any time my children tried to put their heads under water they were met with me screaming and yelling about oil, and trash and what not.

However, what the beach lacked, the hotel made up for.  Our hotel had a very nice pool and children's splash/play area with water slides and such.

And yes, to answer your question...it does in fact taste like hand lotion!
